ABOUT

about me

Hi, I'm Nicole

I graduated in March 2012 with my BS in Graphic Communication from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. My concentration was Design Reproduction Technology. I am originally from Thousand Oaks, but relocated to the Bay Area at a young age. I went to high school in Pleasanton and then moved to the beautiful Central Coast for my college career.

I love designing. I started drawing when I was younger and as I got older, I found I enjoyed designing on the computer rather than on a piece of paper. This led me to look into Graphic Communication programs for college. I decided to attend Cal Poly, where I enjoyed my classes and experiences in San Luis Obispo.

Growing up, my parents got me involved in sports at a very early age. I played softball and did dance and gymnastics. Having all these sports in my life began my love for everything about sports. I enjoy watching, playing and talking about almost every sport.

During my time in college, I had the opportunity to be a Graphics intern at both the Houston Astros Baseball Club and the San Luis Obispo Blues Collegiate Baseball Team. In these internships, I put my education to the test and expanded my graphics skill set greatly, while increasing my experience in professional settings.

Since graduating, I have moved back to the Bay Area. I worked with the San Jose Earthquakes for a few months, operating as the sole designer for many departments within the organization. After the Earthquakes, I took a short break from the sports industry and worked for O'Connor Construction Management as a Marketing Intern. I found my way back to sports shortly after and was hired from a pool of over 400 applicants as a Graphic Design fellow for the San Francisco 49ers. While with the 49ers, I have had many great experiences working on a variety of projects, and also working game days, including going to New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII. The 49ers opened up Levi's Stadium in 2014. I was a part of many design projects leading up to the opening of the stadium, and am continuing to take on many stadium related design projects.

In my free time I like to hang out with my friends and family, go hiking and spend time outdoors. Here you will find some of my work along with my resume. Feel free to contact me if you would like to know more!
